The Warwick International Venture is a brand new concept born this year by the Warwick Finance Societies Exec Committee. It will take place in the summer of 2012 following the current academic year, and will be hosted by Barclays Capital and BlackRock.

WFS is providing a group of 25-30 WFS members the opportunity to fly to Hong Kong for one week in order to aid their understanding of financial practices in Asia through insight days and new cultural experiences. The trip is aimed at students with specific interests and/or aspirations to work in Emerging Markets, Hong Kong or elsewhere in Asia. The primary focus of the Warwick International Venture is to help the selected WFS members build their own network of contacts across banks and universities in Hong Kong.

Further to the networking and insight opportunities, we will be sampling Hong Kong’s famously diverse and beautiful culture. Assuming the majority of the participants will never have visited the region prior to this, we have designed our itinerary to encourage the students to explore the city.
